Welcome
I started drinking coffee black when I was in junior high. It was a symbol of fellowship in my family. Till the day he died, if my father knew I was coming home from work, from college, or even from my home in a different state, he would say, "I will put on a pot of coffee."
When someone calls and says they need to talk, I usually say, "let's meet for a cup of coffee." If I need to talk to someone, I ask them if they have time for a cup of coffee.
It is ironic and perhaps providential that New Orleans--area code 504--is known for the rich, dark, chicory coffee and for the willingness of its people to take time out to visit.
In my first attempt at a blog, it is my prayer that anyone who cares to read it would sense a value of thoughtful community--centered around the reality of the journey and the redemption that Christ has brought to those who seek Him.
